18 Novembre 1955- 18 Novembre 2024, le Maroc célèbre aujourd’hui le 69ème anniversaire de la Fête de l’Indépendance.
Une célébration qui revêtira un caractère particulier cette année, marquée par une série de victoires diplomatiques remarquables : la reconnaissance par la France de la marocanité du Sahara, l’adoption de la Résolution 2756, et le retour de Donald Trump à la présidence.
Le 6 novembre 1955, la signature des accords de la Celle-Saint-Cloud entre le ministre français des Affaires étrangères, Antoine Pinay, et Sidi Mohammed Ben Youssef, a marqué un tournant historique pour le Maroc. Ces accords prévoyaient le retour du Sultan Mohammed V sur le Trône et la souveraineté du Maroc. Douze jours plus tard, Feu SM Mohammed V proclamait la libération du Maroc du joug colonial.
Mais ce n’est que le 2 mars 1956 que l’indépendance officielle a été déclarée. Dans une déclaration historique, Feu SM Mohammed V annonçait : «Nous nous réjouissons de pouvoir annoncer la fin du régime de tutelle et du protectorat et l’avènement d’une ère de liberté et d’indépendance». Ces mots symbolisaient non seulement la fin de la colonisation, mais aussi le début d’une marche résolue vers le développement dans tous les domaines.
Le Sultan souligna également l’esprit de coopération qui allait guider les relations futures avec la France : «Au terme des négociations, le régime de protectorat prendra fin et le Maroc connaîtra une ère nouvelle, où il examinera sa souveraineté dans le cadre des nouveaux accords et dans un esprit de compréhension et de coopération féconde avec le peuple français».
Ce moment marqua l’entrée du Maroc dans une nouvelle ère, celle de la souveraineté retrouvée et de la construction d’un État moderne.
