Le Premier ministre israélien Benyamin Nétanyahu est actuellement en procès pour corruption à Tel Aviv.

Il est également accusé d’avoir favorisé une réglementation bénéfique pour des propriétaires de médias en échange d’une couverture favorable de ses activités et de celles de sa famille.
Lors de son témoignage, Nétanyahou a nié les accusations, les qualifiant de chasse aux sorcières orchestrée par des médias hostiles et un système judiciaire biaisé, cherchant à le renverser. Ce procès très médiatique devrait captiver l’attention du pays pendant plusieurs semaines, alors que Nétanyahou fait aussi face à un mandat d’arrêt international de la Cour Pénale Internationale.
Cette audience signale la reprise d’un procès suspendu à cause de la guerre dans la bande de Gaza. En effet, Benjamin Netanyahu a demandé plusieurs reports du procès en raison des hostilités causées par l’attaque du Hamas en Israël le 7 octobre 2023, ce qui a conduit à une guerre qui se poursuit.
