L’armée française quitte le Tchad

Des premiers avions de chasse français ont quitté le Tchad.

La France a commencé, ce mardi 10 décembre, le retrait de ses forces militaires du Tchad après la fin de l’accord de défense. Les premiers avions de combat Mirage ont regagné leur base dans l’est de la France.

Cela se produit deux semaines après que N’Djamena ait décidé de mettre fin à l’accord de coopération en matière de défense avec Paris. Le Tchad, un allié important pour l’Occident dans la lutte contre les groupes jihadistes dans le Sahel, a annoncé cette décision fin novembre, affirmant vouloir recouvrer sa pleine souveraineté.

Avant le Tchad, le Mali, le Burkina Faso, le Niger et le Sénégal ont interrompu leur coopération militaire avec la France.
